Tiny Improvements

It seems that Stu's time at Rehab has moved at vastly different time scales

On a day to day basis you see little or no progress. At times it even seems that he is going backwards.

Week to week- barely perceptible improvement.

However if you look from the beginning of his rehab to now, the middle of May, there is huge change.

When Stu first arrived at Rehab, he was timid in his wheelchair use, now he is as reckless as any typical 19 year old. Lucky there are no wheelchair Police.

Then he had very small movement of his left arm, now he can scratch his head.

Stu's level of independence has soared. He can now feed himself. There is only one rule: it must be food that can be stabbed with a fork.

This whole time has been an emotional rollercoaster. Stu's injury has taken an understandable but at times devastating psychiatric toll.

Everyone's emotional support and encouragement is essential.
