    Hey Stu,

It’s wonderful to hear you are making great progress.
Hoping the food in rehab is a little bit more tastier then hospital food.

We had a visit from the council about a month ago.
Someone has complained Darcy & Jack’s jumps are an eyesore!
they have only been there for ten years.
So no more Boxing Day Jams

Well take care and keep smiling.

    Hi Stuart,
Grandma here. It’s good to know you are now in rehab. I hope they are keeping you busy and you are not getting bored anymore. I had the most fantastic holiday in Africa, it was just awesome. I came face to face with a pride of lions….and watched them for about 20 minutes, just unbelievable. I rode on the back of an elephant too. His name was ..well you guessed it….Jumbo.
I’m hoping to come down to Victoria in the next month or so, and I’ll bring all the photos with me. Came home to a pile of work, but will write soon and send you the gift we bought you from Africa.
Oh….I got a tatto while I was in Africa…my first one..9 little impala’s running around my arm! Just in time for my 70th birthday!!
I thought about you a lot while I was away, and I hope this message finds you in good spirits and making steady progress.
You are loved by some many people, it’s just amazing.
    love you too,
    Grandma
    Warm hugs and kisses…

  16. Olivia Vorpagel says:

    To my Dear Nephew Stu,

It’s Aunty Liv here, the mad bush Aunty from Central QLD. I have the photo of you and your family on display in my living room…when you came to visit me, I look at it often. You radiate beauty and strength both inside and out. You have a fighting spirit inside you, the spirit of courage, and all the glory you can imagine. You are truly blessed with brains, looks and your Aunty Liv’s quick wit and fantastic sense of humour!

I have been keeping up to date with your Mum via text message to constantly find out what is happening in your life and how you are. I love you very much, and am here for you in any way I can be. If you ever need to have a chat, a shoulder to lean on, or a mad as a cut snake Aunty to spend some time with you know where to find me!

Your wonderful adventures are only just beginning my gorgeous nephew! You will have everything incredible that life has to offer, it is all about attitude and perception. All the comments on this board brought tears to my eyes, seeing all the wonderful people who completely love and care about you. You deserve it.

When things get too hard, try not to think too far ahead, not about next year, next week, or even tomorrow…. just focus on getting through today, and if that is too tricky, the next few hours. None of us know what is around the next corner!!!

I send all my love, as do your neices Mikaela and Tara.

    I love you Stu.

    Aunty Liv xxx

    G’day Stuey

    Love Jan and Trevor

  19. Jill warman says:

Just to update on Stu’s progress. I have been visiting Stu each monday since his return to Mel. Saw him at Royal Talbot on Monday and he is doing really well, his arm movement is increasing all the time, he is probably the worlds worst wheel chair driver but adjustments to his position will help with that and then he will be dangerous. The head shave looks really good, and he is literally inhaling food. He is really positive about getting stuck into therapy and I am very impressed with his determination. His days are going to be getting quite busy, and with lots of other people around socialising is easy. He has a fridge in his room and he is happy to receive any yummy food anyone wants to bring in . He is still the same Stu I have always known and is an inspiration .

    Jill

I am bare impressed with the article I have just read. I wish the writer of stutimms.com can continue to provide so much worthwhile information and unforgettable experience to stutimms.com readers. There is not much to state except the following universal truth: People who work at polling stations are always happy, voters always miserable I will be back.

  23. Evan Cummins says:

    Hi Stu
We’re so glad to hear that you’re making the HUGE step to the Rehab. You have made such incredible progress since arriving back in Victoria. (you probably can’t wait to get away from that hospital food!!!) You should be proud of progress so far and that grit and determination that we KNOW you have, is definitely showing through. It was great to see you last weekend and we’ll be looking forward to visiting you in your new home. Keep up the fighting spirit mate, and good luck for the move. See you soon.
    Love Mick and Ade x

  27. Hi all, I write this with only good intention, which is to share Stuart’s great news to: grand parents, great aunties and great uncles, aunties and uncles, de facto aunties and uncles, great friends from ‘benders’ and WA, and those that have been inspired to send loving messages of encouragment to Stuart…… Tonight I rang Stuart. Lyall and Alice (Stu’s brother and girlfriend) were also there …. The great news is Stuart is leaving behind the boredom of the Alfted spinal unit and is going to the Royal Talbot rehabilitation centre TOMORROW, Friday!!!! ….As I said to Stu \well here is your uni course, its the Phd or Masters of the Royal Talbot.\ and \you will have the opportunity to learn to be mobile\…. (I trust that I have not offended any one, it is not my intention)…. I wish you Stuart; courage, determination, humour, acceptance and a willingness to embrace a major curve ball in your life with a curiousity to explore and conquer any obstacles in your way of achieving your life potential….. (only time will tell what they are)…..love Lynn xx
